The Penniless Performer is a Sydney-based theatre company and creative space dedicated to creating opportunities for actors and creatives to train, perform and develop their craft through real stage productions and practical, hands-on experiences.
Do I need acting experience to get involved?

Not at all. The Penniless Performer welcomes performers at different stages of their journey, from complete beginners through to experienced actors. Our programs are designed to give you the opportunity to learn, grow and get involved in the theatre community.
How can I get involved?

There are several ways to get involved, whether you want to perform, train, work behind the scenes or simply be part of the theatre community. Take the Stage is our flagship program, giving performers the opportunity to rehearse and perform in a full stage production, while other opportunities are available throughout the year.
Where are you located, and is parking available?

Our studio is located in Five Dock, Sydney NSW. Full Address is Suite 5, 84 Great North Road, Five Dock 2046. With easy access and street parking available nearby and a 2 hour parking lot out back. Entrance to the studio is via Waterview Street.
